Sometimes life's challenges, transitions, or conditions are more than we can handle. Feelings of sadness or fear overwhelm. We realize that the way we are living is not how we want to live but are unable to make changes on our own. Unhealthy relationships, dealing with disappointment or loss, feeling alone, or struggling with an inner critic, are a few examples of what leads people to reach out to me. In my practice I largely employ the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model as my framework but also draw techniques from CBT, EMDR, DBT, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, and psychodynamic psychotherapy, when needed.
