I work with women who are navigating religious trauma, faith transitions, identity shifts, and the complex experience of being a mother after leaving Mormonism. So many of the women I support were taught to be selfless, agreeable, spiritual, and “good”, often at the expense of their own needs, voice, and intuition. When you’ve spent years being told how to think, what to believe, and who to be, it makes sense that questioning any of that now feels overwhelming, scary, or disorienting.
