Dr. Christian is a licensed psychologist and a trained psychoanalyst with over 20 years of clinical experience helping patients with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. He has been a staff Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry, Beth Israel Medical Center, and the New York Methodist Hospital. He is the author, co-author, and co-editor of several books, book chapters, and papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is past Dean at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR); the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Psychoanalytic Psychology; and a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association (the oldest and largest international psychoanalytic organization, and the world's primary accrediting and regulatory body for psychoanalysis).
