My ideal client is someone who is ready for change and someone who is willing to do the work outside of counseling sessions for that change to take effect. Aside from listening to clients, I like to give my clients "homework" outside of sessions so that they can break the patterns that they have been used to that may be contributing to why they are going to therapy in the first place.
