I have spent 20 years specializing how trauma affects the brain and how to help people heal their lives from the damage of trauma and/or addiction. As an adoptive parent, I also enjoy helping adoptive parents and children navigate the challenges associated with singular or multiple attachment disruptions, complex trauma, grief, loss, etc. I listen and care about my clients. As a Christian therapist, I try to help my clients not only heal from trauma/abuse/addictions/etc.; while improving their mental well-being, working toward achieving their life goals, and to see themselves as God see them. As a Psychologist, I also use traditional methods (CBT, DBT) to help increase individuals' ability to cope and manage negative emotions and/or heal from trauma.
