Relationships are what bring us joy in our lives, but sometimes despite our best efforts we come upon a stumbling block. We find ourselves struggling or unable to connect to those we love and sometimes even to ourselves. Maybe issues from past relationships get in the way, maybe there is a trauma to the relationship (such as illness, job loss, or simply entering a new stage of life such as parenthood or midlife). There may have been an infidelity, loss of job, or emotional issues such as depression / anxiety. Often we just feel a lack of connection we once had.
