My ideal client can come as they are. I believe in creating an environment that is warm, welcoming, and compassionate. It is understandable if clients are guarded or apprehensive about meeting with a therapist. It is important to go at their pace, whatever that may look like . Many clients come to therapy seeking comfort, validation, and a listening ear. Goals and treatment planning are tailored to the personal needs of the individual. I find that clients seek to find a safe place and when they're ready, can begin to bring about personal change within themselves and their lives.
