I take a warm, direct, and authentic approach to therapy. Building insight in clients is one of the most important parts of therapy. I am passionate about trauma work, as well as OCD work. I have significant experience with both and consider those my "specialties." Do you ever find yourself asking those relentless "what if" OCD questions? I can help with that. What about mental rumination? I can empathize. That being said, due to my work experience in community counseling, I have encountered a multitude of presentations and concerns. I tend to take a cognitive processing approach to trauma work, which helps clients build insight and overcome “stuck points” in their trauma narratives. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral strategies, somatic work (body-mind centered therapy), and exposure therapy.
