Providing compassionate, culturally competent counseling to first responders and their families. As a retired third-generation firefighter from California, the fire service was a calling for me, and it became a fulfilling career and a wonderful life. However, as I progressed in my career, I witnessed firsthand the pain and suffering that many of my colleagues endured from exposure to workplace trauma as well as the physical demands of the profession. With the second half of my life, I wanted to make a difference by helping first responders live their best lives and support those who risk their lives to protect our communities.
