For 15 years, I was a NYC public school teacher working in specialized high schools and that experience has informed my understanding of how our intersectional identities influence how comfortably we move in our world today. I believe that personal, cultural and societal narratives can influence who we are and what we believe we can achieve. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Ackerman Relational Approach and use an Anti-Bias Trauma informed lens. I am also an avid gamer and use video, TTRPG and other staples of Geek culture in my work with some clients to build empowering metaphors of their life experience.
