Living a “life worth living” can seem like a mythical path. Our own journey can feel unfair, be exceedingly difficult, or at times impossible. We may discover that our struggles are the result of the choices we made, or the choices others have made that impact us. Most of us unknowingly hold onto faulty beliefs about ourselves or others, living as if they are true or accurate. To cope, we develop strategies to make the journey seem doable. They may have been effective then and sustained us. Perhaps now are not and are the very obstacle that prevents us from achieving our potential. Traumatic experiences compound the struggle.
