About
I work with adults, adolescents, children, couples and families of all possible configurations. If you are seeking therapy for your child, I will also support you in parenting your child. I listen for the voices of those who feel unheard in a variety of interpersonal contexts; those who may have experienced difficult or abusive relationships with a primary attachment figure (not necessarily a parent), or who have experienced the loss of a parent—through death or absence—and who may struggle with anger, shame, a sense of invisibility...or maybe feelings they cannot yet describe. It is important to feel safe enough to risk, and yet risk enough to grow and change. I pay close attention to experience, patterns of conveying it, and the meanings we ascribe to it. Over the course of treatment, I will ask questions that are intended to encourage and deepen self-reflection, exploration and imagination.
