Hello! My name is Amber Kovach and I am the founder of Counseling with Amber PLLC. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Maryland, Florida, and Ohio, offering virtual therapy for clients in those states. Virtual life coaching can also be an option when appropriate. While completing my degree at Johns Hopkins University, I found my passion for helping people, especially neurodivergent minds like my own. As soon as I could, I developed more skills and became a clinical specialist for Autism (ASDCS) and ADHD (ADHD-CCSP) in addition to my niche of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and child-centered play therapy. Receiving my own neurodivergent diagnosis opened my eyes to how often people are misunderstood or misdiagnosed. This inspires my commitment to compassionate, accurate care and advocacy. My approach is individualized, centered on honest communication, skill-building, and self-discovery, guided by our motto to provide compassion, clarity, and connection.
