As a middle-aged mama with careers in science and writing prior to becoming an LCSW, I bring lived experience and an eclectic style to mental health. I tend to work with adults and motivated older teens, treating trauma, substance use, dual diagnoses, mood and anxiety disorders (including OCD), life changes and stressors, aging- and/or health related concerns, grief (including pet loss), and phobias. I am licensed in CT and FL. I am credentialed in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and animal-assisted therapy (no animals in-person at this time), and am trained in iCBT. I offer both structured work and general talk therapy that can include mindfulness and person-centered therapy, depending on your needs and preferences.
