About
I have been working with grief, both normal and complicated, for nearly 35 years and have specialized training in treating both. For those who are going through a normal albeit difficult time coping with the loss of a loved one, or if you are a caregiver for someone with a stressful illness (e.g., cancer, Alzheimer's), help is here. I also have extensive experience in treating the needs of the LGBTQ community. I strongly prefer to meet clients in person due to the type of interventions I utilize that are more effective this way. Grief is not only a reaction to death of a loved one. It can also mask itself within the loss of independence due to health and/or mental health challenges, or the changing of one's identity. While painful, grief and can also lead to positive change and newfound strength once you walk through it and can feel what's on the other side.
