Counseling has always been a rewarding practice of both science and art in my career. I can explain my NU training, how I use CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) to help depression or anxiety, grief therapy, theories I hold on eating and health counseling, attention and learning issues, gifted teens and adults in therapy, divorce/separation and family therapy. What I can’t explain is the art of sitting with a teen or an adult and witnessing them get well or having them include your influence in their college essay.
