I specialize in helping children, adolescents and young adults ( ages 6 to 24) work on their concerns, using a variety of techniques to help alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety and other issues. I have over 30 years of experience working with children and adolescents so that is "where my passion lies". The decision to contact a Therapist is one of the most important decisions that anyone can make, especially for their children. Since I am both a therapist and a parent I understand the challenges that children and families face. I have completed basic training in EMDR, which is a form of psychotherapy used to successfully treat Post traumatic stress disorder, and other forms of painful, stressful traumatic events. I am also frequently interviewed as a mental health expert for a local news station speaking on various topics that impact our community.
