I see clients seeking help with issues of depression, anxiety, loss, and trauma. Life can be hard and nonsensical at times. I will work collaboratively with you to sort out and make sense of your experience. The goal of the work is uncovering new resources for mental well being. I work with couples having difficulties who are looking for tools to communicate more openly while honoring the both partners' experiences. My work spans twenty years with various populations that include community mental health, active duty military, couples and individuals. I work from an internal family systems perspective to understand how these internal parts or self states can co-opt our thoughts, moods, and resulting behaviors that in turn limit our roundedness and flexible self energy.
