Many of us recognize that “something” in our lives needs to change for us to become happier and to improve the quality of our lives. Often times we feel either stuck or become ambivalent about taking steps because of the fear of what change will lead to. My style is active collaboration that aligns the behaviors with the values of the individual I am working with in a nonjudgmental and respectful environment. I believe it is very important to have the individual set the goals they would like to accomplish in therapy. I spent 2 years training with the Linehan Institute and became foundationally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotion regulation skills
