My therapeutic philosophy begins with cultivating safety and trust within the client/counselor relationship. I truly believe that it is vital to build a strong foundation. I believe that is important because, as a therapist, I understand that I am entering your private world. This is a deep and sacred trust. It is important to me that my clients know that whether or not that trust has been violated by others in the past, I will create a sanctuary in which those hurts that have created trauma, anxiety, depression, etc., can be explored, understood and, as we face that pain together, we can find healing and restoration.
