About
It can be challenging to ask for help (especially when you don't know what to expect or have been disappointed in the past) but the benefits of therapy are immense. Whatever you're struggling with, talk therapy proves to be one of the most effective ways to identify unhealthy patterns and understand ourselves in more nuanced ways. The origins of mental and emotional pain are mysteriously complex sometimes, but it's often related to unmet emotional needs and feelings of shame that drive negative thinking and impulsive/restrictive behaviors that make it harder to get better. Let's work together to help you find lasting change. I have worked in the mental health field for the last 12 years and in Master's level clinical social work for the last 8 years. I intend to offer a welcoming space for anyone struggling with their mental health who seek to work toward stability, resilience, and growth. Self-compassion, emotional maturity, and mindfulness are often central.
