About
I have 25 years of experience helping folks with a variety of challenges. I specialize in: mood disorders, addiction, and just the general challenges of being a human being in a complex world. I work from a place of non-judgement, creating support and emotional safety. I have extensive experience in a parts based therapy model called Internal Family Systems (IFS), and train other therapists in the model through the IFS Institute. IFS is not the only modality that I utilize, but I do find it to be helpful for most people. I also have an orientation toward the teachings of buddhism, and have my own regular daily meditation practice. I bring a wealth of experience to my practice. I have worked at the University of Michigan Hospital and the University of Wisconsin Medical Center. Prior to opening my private practice, I was on staff at Hazelden Foundation as well as St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. As mentioned above I utilize IFS therapy with most folks I work with in some capacity.
