Therapy works when the individual is motivated and ready for change. Change is one of the hardest things we deal with and I am here to help with that. Be it overcoming past trauma, managing depression, anxiety or other mood disorders, the client's main concern is my main concern. I believe in an individualized approach, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance and working with the client to attain their goals in a way that is most fitting to their immediate needs and adjusting as necessary. I have worked extensively with trauma and PTSD, reaching some of the issues buried deepest in the mind. Doing this with gentleness, kindness, compassion and sometimes a little humor doesn't hurt! Offering a relaxed, conversational and "not stuffy" environment for my clients is key to getting where the client needs to go.
