Accepting in-network Kaiser Hawaii patients. Dr. Maka’ike is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a specialty in child and adolescent psychology. She has a small telehealth therapy practice primarily for teens and young adults. For younger "tweens," she utilizes an interactive telehealth format that incorporates hands-on games and skill building. While telehealth therapy is not for everyone, it can reduce barriers to care, offer convenience and flexibility, and increase engagement. Dr. Maka'ike also offers weekend and evening sessions. Dr. Maka'ike is an experienced therapist who is able to treat of variety of diagnosis. Dr. Maka'ike has an extensive background and training in trauma informed practices and interventions. She utilizes an integrative framework as a psychologist, utilizing data driven decision making and interventions such as EMDR, DBT, CBT, ICBT, TF-CBT, and ACT in her work with clients.
