About

I have worked with eating disordered adolescents, adults and their families for 20 years at the inpatient, partial, and outpatient level of care. I have developed program curriculums and provided training for universities, churches and treatment centers across the nation and taught at the Graduate level for 5 years specifically focusing on understanding the profession, leading group therapy, and integrating the concepts of psychology and theology. My passion is to help people find a connection to their own purpose and values to make choices that reflect that purpose; I believe that this will increase our experiences of peace in a troubled world. Valenta offers Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Programs and a group based Intensive Outpatient Depression Recovery Program. We believe in treating the whole person, not just the disorder, by cultivating personal power and moving toward long-term health and wellness. Valenta means "Be Powerful" ...we're here to help
