I have been practicing as a counselor since May of 2020 and have experience working with a variety of populations, differing in both presenting issues, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, etc. I believe that the counseling relationship is also a partnership. I work with clients to develop their own goals for what they would like out of counseling, and always make sure to remind them that they are in the driver's seat of how our sessions go, in a sense. By that, I mean I will not force clients to talk about things they do not want to talk about, but rather work with them on what they want to work on in counseling.
