About

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 25 years of experience helping clients to overcome challenges, cultivate self-awareness, deepen relationships, and live with a greater sense of personal freedom. My approach, grounded in attachment theory and psychodynamic principles, assumes that our way of experiencing ourselves, others, and the world around us is shaped by our earliest relationships. In the context of an empathic, nonjudgmental relationship, I help my clients explore their ways of moving through the world, examining habitual patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior to open up new possibilities and choices. A large portion of my practice is devoted to working with couples. I help partners develop shared insight into how their histories and attachment styles intersect to produce relational dynamics. As partners come to recognize the emotional vulnerabilities that underlie their conflict, they tend to respond to one another with greater understanding and empathy.
