I work with people who seek friendly, expert support in trying to achieve a solid sense of themselves - who you are and how you got here and all the moving parts in the present day experience of the self. That self knowledge provides both the map and the secure base from which to risk moving forward into the new way of being that feels better. I really like the Internal Family Systems model of being curious about all our parts - when and how they show up, and what it's like for us when they get activated. The benefit of getting into all of that is recognizing when old patterns are happening, and in that awareness, doing something differently.
