I value the institution of marriage. Marriage is foundational to the well being of each family member. The marital sub-system is the most important system in the Family System. If the marital sub-system fails all the other Family systems fail. I tell couples one of the things they need, to build longevity into their marriage is to love the institution of marriage just a little bit more then they love each other. I seek to get to know the couple by taking a "dating & courtship" history. Then I want to know "why now" why did you make the appointment.
