Coming from a Lead Clinician role for a Virtual Partial Hospitalization (PHP) Program, I don't believe in an "ideal" client. In my previous role, we rarely had insight into a client's clinical presentation before their intake. I have learned to tailor my approach to each client while aiding them in learning emotional regulation techniques and interventions to sustain sobriety. Through this various-layer approach, I utilize the role of intersectionality in a clinical presentation, which then contributes to clinical discussion when using CBT, Psychodynamic, and SBFT therapy interventions.
