About
People choose to pursue therapy when challenges begin to impact their ability to think, feel and behave in ways that are helpful, productive and satisfying. Challenges emerge as part of a script, a story we tell ourselves about what is true about our identity, strengths/weaknesses, relationships, and our place in the world. Common symptoms of anxiety and depression, for example, are not "problems" as much as they are a result of frustrated attempts to manage challenges. One of the goals of therapy is to rewrite that script, and create a new story of ourselves with tools to pursue a life of purpose and meaning. The therapeutic relationship is a sacred trust. It is a shared journey in pursuit of personal truth that works for you in your relationship to self and others. My approach is eclectic and humanistic, with focus on Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I can help to increase awareness of emotional dynamics and transformation in service to your personal goals.
