I am a clinical psychologist specializing in couples and family therapy. I work at the largest VA couples therapy clinic in the country. I focus on helping couples feel safe to be vulnerable and to understand complex relational patterns with compassion. Many couples seek help with "communication," often pointing to deeper emotional disconnect: feeling unheard, and unsafe being vulnerable. These struggles are common not because we’re broken or don't care about our partners, but because the warmth and sense of safety we once had have slowly dimmed over time, often unknowingly. This makes it harder to share and truly hear our longing.
