Hello and welcome to my practice! I’m Deara (pronounced d-air-ruh), and I have many years of experience as a Social Worker in various roles. I hold two degrees in Social Work: a Master’s from Springfield College in Massachusetts and a Bachelor’s from Central Connecticut State University. With eight years in the field, I am dedicated to helping teens, young adults, adults, families, and individuals overcome the barriers they face. My primary focus is to create a relaxed and non-judgmental environment where we can work together collaboratively to achieve your goals. In our initial sessions, we will focus on building rapport, exploring your reasons for seeking therapy, and determining if we are a good fit for each other. I believe that for therapy to flourish, a strong connection is essential. This process is not an interview; rather, it’s a conversation rooted in curiosity and a safe space for healing.
