Everyone I see for the first time simply wants to feel better. They are tired of being alone with their burdens and need help with the problems they are facing. Individuals want to be truly known and heard. I am an active and curious listener and I hope to help people to become more curious about themselves. I think of the first visit as a consultation. It is a time to share what you need help with and to see whether further work could be useful. As a therapist with 40 years of experience, I feel grateful to still love my work.
