My approach to treatment is person-centered, as my experience has taught me that a person needs to feel safe and encouraged to focus on where they are at in life and what they want to focus on. Moving any faster or differently than they are ready for may result in feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. I have worked across diverse settings, including family homes, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and the transitions associated with both. I am a Licensed Master of Social Worker with a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and an extensive background working with both adults as well as children & their families. My specialties include but are not limited to: Autism, Trauma, Anxiety, Coping Skills, Socialization, Communication, and School Issues.
