My name is Denise Hill. I am a therapist with 16 years of experience. I believe a single person’s experience is unique to others. Personal differences relate to life events, identity, and access to power, and privilege. I’m interested in your experience, your goals, and learning what barriers impede your success, sense of self-worth, and happiness. Once you start therapy you’ve already accomplished what to many is the hardest part: getting started. So give yourself a pat on the back and consider yourself as courageous for identifying an area of your life for which you’re seeking professional help. My first goal is to assist clients in identifying their concerns and what they hope to achieve in therapy. Another is to create a trusting rapport that facilitates success in managing anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. I use a range of modalities including interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and CBT.
