I think therapy provides us with the opportunity to look inward and take the time we need to evaluate what we really want out of life. As an LGBT person, I know firsthand about the challenges our community experiences as well as how it can create barriers for us and cause suffering. I have personally found therapy to be very helpful in creating a safe space to explore the impact of these experiences on who we are today as well as gain perspective and learn some tools to improve our well-being. I help clients explore the intersectionality of our multiple identities, including sexual orientation, gender, and ethnicity/culture.
