Hi! My name is Derek, and I'm a social worker offering virtual sessions in DC and Virginia. As a therapist, I understand that life can present us with challenges that leave us feeling helpless, depressed, anxious, amongst many other seemingly irreconcilable emotions. Regardless of the specific life challenges we face, these feelings can leave us paralyzed and/or overwhelmed by emotions that distort our sense of self. I believe my role as your therapist is to address these complex feelings by providing you with the means and support to improve your quality of life and cope with the variety of complex challenges life presents us with.
