I started my journey to become a counselor on the other side of the globe while living in Beijing, China for six years. There, I learned to be curious, and observant, and look for the common threads of the human experience that connect all of us. I also discovered first-hand how compassion and empathy in relationships can facilitate healing. I believe that people are resilient and that at any moment they are doing the best they can with the resources available to them, and it is my privilege as a counselor to walk alongside my clients on that journey.
