About
Every person – and every family - faces challenges that can overwhelm or get us stuck in patterns that aren’t working. Every life stage has its own pressures, and children/adolescents and aging individuals create additional challenges for communication, coping, and adapting. I believe in the process of encouraged and lasting change in a safe environment. I know that each family has unique strengths, stories, patterns, roles, transitions, culture and influences; I have competency in both traditional linear psychotherapeutic methods as well as family systems methods, and can integrate these for an approach as unique as you are. I help individuals and families to improve relationships, communication patterns, & emotional differentiation. I have special insight into working with families w/ children, including those with unique learning/social/emotional challenges. I also have specific experience in life stage transitions relating to blended/step families; grief; illness; aging.
