My ideal clients are those who recognize that we all need help and understand that asking for support is a reflection, not of any weakness, but of their own self-regard and strength. I started off as a nurse and decided to return to school and get a masters in counseling psychology. I spent more than 25 years in addiction, including the years I spent as a nurse (11 years). I also have been a clinical supervisor and director of substance abuse programs, which made me realize I love working with clients individually and went into private practice. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
