Life can be wonderful & harmonious, & it can also be complicated. Often times, we go through life learning to hide parts of ourselves that have felt criticism, fear & other difficult emotions (rejection, hurt, etc.). We learn to ignore those difficult parts of ourselves due to shame & guilt, which can lead to sadness, worry, low self-esteem, trauma, and so on. These emotions & hurts can also affect the relationships around us (romantic, friendships, work, etc.), causing deeper pain & rejection. We notice our emotions, mind, & body’s reaction to situations that cause these parts to resurface & then struggle to cope.
