I enjoy helping individuals and couples to see how their struggles often stem from how they relate to themselves and others, ultimately finding new ways of relating. Together we can better understand the root of these troubling patterns so you can free yourself from the grip of chronic conflict, emotional distress, and recurring behaviors that leave you unhappy and defeated. When you give voice to what was previously unconscious and allow space for painful feelings, you can experience significant relief, in the process becoming more aware of the hidden potential of your full self and entering into more satisfying relationships. My approach is psychodynamic, using the therapy relationship to hold what can be too much to face alone. As a writer, I see a powerful healing capacity in our innate creativity and attempts to put words to anger, fear, sadness, and shame. I incorporate dreams to deepen self-knowledge, discovering new possibilities that reflect who you truly are.
