As a licensed social worker, Doug has over 35 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Doug also has extensive experience working with clients with substance abuse disorders. As a therapist, Doug uses a variety of approaches to ensure that clients have a positive experience in treatment. Doug is employed at Christiana Care as a psychiatric social worker in the emergency department. Doug assists the crisis team with traumas and all psychiatric emergencies. Doug was also a professor at three universities, teaching counseling and psychology courses.
