I am a Clinical Psychologist from Kansas City, MO, with a Ph.D. from Jackson State University (2018). My doctoral research explored how contemporary rap music influences Black college students’ racial identity, self-esteem, and implicit bias. This work deeply shaped my passion for integrating mental health, hip-hop culture, and wellness. In therapy, I combine evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy—with holistic practices such as mindfulness, meditation, reiki, and elements of hip-hop culture.
