Therapy can be difficult, it requires exposure of thoughts and feelings that you spent a lot of time hiding. It takes courage and self-awareness to start therapy. Anyone reaching out to start that process deserves somebody ready to listen. The best therapy is when a person is ready to make changes in their life. A lot of external change can happen when you make internal changes – by addressing deeply held beliefs and challenging assumptions often accepted as true. I particularly want to be a supportive presence to anyone in the LGBTQ+ community. I work hard to make sure my clients feel safe and empowered in expressing themselves.
