About
Psychotherapy is an endeavor that many people seek to improve the overall quality of their lives. Whether one is experiencing conflict within relationships, difficulties coping with stress, a specific life problem, or acute symptoms, the insights, skills and increased awareness that come from psychotherapy can be invaluable. I work with patients to help create and maintain satisfying relationships, decrease emotional distress, develop healthy and effective coping strategies, cultivate self esteem and healthy self image, and increase satisfaction with life. I employ a variety of evidence based approaches and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness/Mentalization based practices. Given the complexity of our lives and the reasons we seek psychotherapy, treatment should be not only goal oriented/focused, but flexible and sensitive to the uniqueness of who we are.
