I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a doctoral degree in counseling psychology and a doctoral degree in Forensic Psychology. I have been licensed for nineteen years. My theoretical orientation is CBT, however, I also use some humanistic theory and solution focused theory. I work primarily with depression, anxiety, ptsd and trauma. I believe that it is important for you to feel completely comfortable with the person you choose for therapy because if you do not feel safe to share and be transparent, it can hinder and limit your ability to really address the issues that bring you to therapy. I have a certification in the treatment of trauma. I also like to use holistic approaches to therapy. It is important to treat the whole person and address any existing medical conditions and mental health together. I believe that the use of talk therapy with holistic approaches are an effective way to heal.
