Hello! My name is Frances Furio, PsyD, LCSW (she/her). I am an instructor, licensed clinician, and qualitative researcher interested in understanding people’s lived experiences and highlighting the strength and resiliency of communities that continue to face barriers and injustice. I am especially passionate about the promotion of equity, inclusion, and peaceful and progressive social work practice. I have an eclectic approach to therapy and change, and select modalities based on the unique person in front of me. Psychoanalytic, cognitive, narrative, systems, and feminist/queer theory are some of the theoretical frameworks applied.
