I provide therapy that is about growth, self-understanding, and becoming the person that you really are. Many of my patients come to see me at times of change or transition in their lives. Some come for help that is focused, specific, and relatively short-term. For example, many anxiety problems and life transition issues are suited to short-term work. I know how important it is for patients to feel heard and understood, by a therapist who is non-judgmental. Outcome research on psychodynamic therapy has shown that therapy sets in motion a process of personal growth that continues to develop even after therapy ends.
